Four adults have died after contracting swine flu, raising the number of Scottish deaths caused by the disease to 62.
Three of the four victims had underlying health problems, whilst one other from the Greater Glasgow and Clyde area did not.
Nicola Sturgeon, the Health Secretary, said: ” My deepest sympathy is with the patients’ family and friends especially at this time of year.”
“We continue to urge everyone within the priority groups to come forward and accept the vaccination as the illness can be severe and unfortunately, in some cases, fatal.”
